PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan, Philippines – Malacañang has allotted P120 million for the potable water system program for waterless communities in this province under President Aquino’s “Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig sa Lahat (Abundant and Safe Water for All)” program.

Each municipality will receive a grant of P10 million to fund the development of stand-alone water points, construction of piped water with communal faucets or the rehabilitation of individual household connections.
The engineering designs of the water project are still being finalized. The municipalities of Dumaran, Magsaysay and Roxas are bidding for the projects. They have submitted all the technical and administrative requirement, including a feasibility study, memorandum of agreement and compliance with the full disclosure policy of the Department of Interior and Local Government.
