TB prevalent in 22 Vizcaya towns

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya ,Philippines – Some 22 towns in Cagayan Valley still have a serious tuberculosis (TB) problem, according to the Department of Health (DOH) regional office here.
Tita Callueng, DOH assistant regional director, said a sustained effort is necessary to prevent the disease from becoming widespread.
Callueng said the yearly observance of World TB Day should remind the public that the TB problem should not be taken for granted.
