3 dead in Masbate land dispute

LEGAZPI CITY ,Philippines  – A land dispute triggered a shooting and stabbing incident in Barangay Magbanlon in Cawayan, Masbate that left three persons dead and wounded a 70-year-old woman, police said yesterday.

Senior Superintendent Heriberto Olitoquit, Masbate police director, identified the fatalities as Juanillo Noynay, 39, a resident of  Barangay Magbalon; Rolito Ardiano, 62, of  Barangay  Dalipe, both in Cawayan town; and Lolito Noynay, 59, of Barangay  Miaga in Uson town. Natividad Noynay, 70, a resident of Barangay Magbalon was wounded.

Investigation showed that Natividad was stabbed by Lolito while her son, Juanillo was shot by Rolito. Juanillo‘s brother Pepe shot Lolito and Rolito.

Pepe surrendered to the police and is now under the custody of the Cawayan police.
