3 held for selling houses intended for calamity victims

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested on Saturday three persons for selling housing lots intended for calamity victims, to residents and provincial government employees of Rizal province.

Rizal Gov. Casimiro Ynares III asked the public to report directly to him whether the suspects, Neil Aldea, alias Atty. Aldea, the secretary-general and treasurer of the Samahang Biyayang Ynares Inc.; and his two cohorts, Milo Mendoza and Noime Romano, continue with their illegal transactions.

Ynares gave assurance that such reports would be acted upon immediately by the provincial government and the police.

Ynares directed Senior Superintendent Rolando Anduyan, Rizal police director, to arrest Aldea and his cohorts following reports that they were selling housing lots in Baras town intended for calamity victims to innocent and unsuspecting buyers.
