LEGAZPI CITY ,Philippines – A 14-year-old deaf-mute was raped Friday in Barangay Galicia in Rapu-Rapu, Albay, police reported yesterday.
Chief Inspector Nelson Cotino, Rapu-Rapu police chief, said the father of the victim hacked Cipriano Bataller Jr., 29, several times when he caught the suspect molesting his daughter in a grassy portion of their farm.
The father, however, stopped attacking Bataller when the latter pleaded for his life.
The suspect was detained at the Rapu-Rapu Jail while rape charges are being readied against him.
