Reward up in Laguna ambush-slay
STA. MARIA, Laguna, Philippines – The municipal government is offering P320,000 reward for any information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of last Sunday’s ambush-killing of a brother of the local chief of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) and his bodyguard along the highway in Barangay Bulihan, Famy town.
Senior Superintendent Gilbert Cruz, Laguna police director, believes that the reward – P220,000 from Sta. Maria Mayor Antonio Carolino and P100,000 from Laguna Gov. Jeorge Estregan Ejercito – would encourage the public to give vital information for the arrest of the four motorcycle-riding killers of businessman Juan Gatdula, brother of local PAO chief Fernando Gatdula, and his bodyguard Timoteo Maala.
