14 hurt in Batanes plane mishap

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya ,Philippines  – More than a dozen passengers of a light plane were hurt when it fell into a shallow ravine after touchdown at an airfield in Batanes’ Itbayat town Thursday morning.

The 19-seater SkyPasada plane, RP C3988, which had 14 passengers, overshot the Itbayat airstrip. It was learned that the airstrip is undergoing repair.

The twin-engine plane sustained minor damage.
