MANILA, Philippines - A 4.1 magnitude earthquake was felt in Batangas early yesterday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the tremor, which was tectonic in origin, resulted in intensity 2 earthquake in Balayan and Calaca towns in Batangas.
The quake occurred at around 12:55 a.m. and its epicenter is at 20 kilometers southwest of Calatagan, Batangas.
At around 12:41 a.m., a 2.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 10 kilometers southwest of Canlaon City in Negros Oriental.
A magnitude 2.8 tremor was also recorded at around 8:22 a.m. 11 kilometers northwest of Guihulngan, Negros Oriental.
In Lanao del Sur, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake was felt at around 6:27 a.m. 11 kilometers southwest of Bumbaran, Lanao del Sur.
