Woman wounded in roadside bombing in N. Cotabato

MANILA, Philippines - A civilian was wounded in a roadside bombing in Carmen, North Cotabato yesterday, the military said.

Armed Forces Eastern Mindanao Command spokesman Col. Leopoldo Galon said a Rural Transit bus was passing through the national highway at the boundary of Barangays Cadiis and Malapag when an improvised explosive device went off.

The Carmen municipal police identified the injured passenger as Hazel Degamo.

The bombing was the fourth attack on the bus company in the past eight months.

Police are convinced that the Al-Khobar, which has claimed responsibility for the recent bombings in the province, could be behind the bombing.
