Homemade cake downs family of 4

MANILA, Philippines - A homemade cake given by a close friend downed a family of four in Antipolo City last Thursday.

The victims – Pilar Echano, 60, and her children Eric, 34; Alex, 32; and Irally, 22 – suffered dizziness, stomach pain, vomiting, numbness and sweating minutes after eating the cake and were rushed to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center where they are presently confined.

Doctors have taken samples from the homemade cake to determine what downed the Echanos.
