2 car theft suspects slain

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – Two suspected car thieves were killed while four others were arrested in separate police operations in Biñan and Los Baños towns last week, authorities said.

Senior Superintendent Arnel Escobal, director of the Highway Patrol Group-Region 4-A, said the two slain suspects, whose identities were still withheld, shot it out with lawmen after a brief chase in Barangay San Francisco, Biñan before dawn last Thursday.

Two caliber .38 revolvers and several bullets were seized from them.
