6 NPAs killed in foiled attack

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Six suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels were killed when soldiers foiled an attack on a banana farm in Barangay Malinawon, Mawab, Compostela Valley late Monday afternoon.

The guerrillas were onboard a stolen Sadam-type truck and were on their way to the Sumifru banana farm in Mawab town when the encounter took place.
