LA TRINIDAD, Benguet, Philippines  – A man who is reportedly the head of a drug syndicate operating in the Cordillera and Cagayan Valley regions was arrested during a raid on his house in Ifugao Thursday.

Peter Ambojnon, 56, was allegedly caught with at least 10 sachets of shabu, various paraphernalia for the packaging and use of shabu, a homemade .22 caliber handgun, a .38 caliber revolver, and a total of 137 bullets at his home in Barangay Hapid, Lamut town.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera director Gil Castro said Ambojnon’s house reportedly doubles as the syndicate’s repackaging area and drug den.

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group is also monitoring Ambojnon for gunrunning.
