Cop dies, 2 pals injured in Isabela mishap

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – A policeman was killed while two of his colleagues were hurt after their vehicle rammed into a parked Isuzu Forward truck along the national highway in northern Isabela early yesterday morning.

The fatality, identified as PO1 Crisanto Sadorra Jr., and the injured, Chief Inspector Norman Ranon, who were driving the vehicle, and PO1 Mark Paul Ramos, were all members of the Regional Public Safety Battalion based in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The policemen were on their way from Tuguegarao to the Isabela provincial police headquarters in Ilagan town when their Mitsubishi Pajero crashed, amid a drizzle, into the truck parked along the highway. 

The injured law enforcers were rushed to the Faustino Dy Memorial Hospital in Ilagan town.
