15 Mindanao cops test positive for illegal drugs

DAVAO CITY ,Philippines  – At least 15 policemen in Region XI tested positive for illegal drugs in a random drug test recently conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) regional office here.

According to the Southern Mindanao regional police office, 10 of the policemen were from the Davao City police office, two each from Davao Oriental and Davao del Norte and one from from Davao del Sur.

Region XI police director Chief Superintendent Jaime Morente said the policemen will undergo formal investigation before they will be meted with the corresponding punishment.
