Mild quake rocks Bukidnon
MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 3.6 earthquake rocked Bukidnon yesterday but did not cause any damage or injury, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake occurred at around 6:37 a.m. and was centered at 14 kilometers southwest of Valencia City, Bukidnon.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Valencia, Bukidnon.
The tremor had a depth of one kilometer and was tectonic in origin. Tectonic pertains to the movement of the earth’s crust.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks were expected from the quake.
