4 suicides in 3 days in Pangasinan
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan ,Philippines – Four persons committed suicide in a span of three days in this province.
On Sunday, Emilio Perico, a 79-year-old widow, committed suicide by shooting himself in his residence in Barangay Sta. Rosa.
On Saturday night, 11-year-old Enrico Espidido allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside their house in Barangay Santo Domingo, San Manuel town.
Espidido’s body was discovered by his stepfather, Rodel Embuedo, hanging on the ceiling inside the bedroom of their house.
On Nov. 4, Gringo Gavina, 22, of Barangay Lipay, Villasis town and Elizabeth Fernandez, 42, of Poblacion West, Asingan were also found lifeless.
Gavina allegedly committed suicide because of differences with his live-in partner, while Fernandez, a housemaid, succumbed to a self-inflicted bullet wound on her breast.
