Magalong now heads Cordillera police

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet  ,Philippines – A senior police official who was implicated along with retired Marine Col. Ariel Querubin and Gen. Danilo Lim in the Feb. 24, 2006 coup attempt, now leads the Cordillera police.

Chief Superintendent Benjamin Magalong, who belongs to Philippine Military Academy Class 1982, took over the helm of the Cordillera police from Chief Superintendent Villamor Bumanglag in a ceremony presided over by Philippine National Police chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome at Camp Bado Dangwa yesterday morning.
