ILAGAN, Isabela, Philippines – At least 10 school children were rushed to a hospital in Ballesteros, Cagayan yesterday for acute dehydration due to severe diarrhea after eating palabok or noodles for snacks.
Dr. Jay Galano, officer-in-charge of the Ballesteros District Hospital said the water used in the preparation of palabok, which was taken from a deep well near a toilet is considered the culprit.
Galano said the children have been suffering from diarrhea since they ate the palabok last Sunday.
