Lolong's patrons to attend croc gab
BUNAWAN, Agusan del Sur, Philippines – The people keeping famous giant crocodile “Lolong” safe and alive at the Bunawan Eco-Park will attend the International Crocodile Conference 2011 to be held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
Bunawan Mayor Edwin “Cox” Elorde, Palawan-based crocodile expert Ronnie Sumilier and municipal councilor Rolando Nuer, who chairs the local council’s committee of natural resources and environment, will attend the event slated on Oct. 19-21.
Elorde told The STAR he received an official invitation from the organizers of the international conference.
The three-day conference will give crocodile experts as well as heads of local government units an opportunity to gather and discuss issues concerning crocodiles.
