Los Baños turns 396

LOS BAÑOS, Laguna – This internationally known university town will celebrate its 396th anniversary on Sept. 14-18.

To banner the celebration is “Bañamos Festival,” a five-day showcase of the town’s cultural heritage, products, talents and beauties.

The activities include Himigsikan (Battle of the Bands), Musikohan exhibition, civic and float parades, fluvial float at Laguna de Bay off Los Baños, Bayle sa Kalye (street dancing), dance contests, buko pie eating contest, thanksgiving Mass, and Search for Miss Los Baños.

The activities will be capped by the Grand Revelry to be held at the Paciano Rizal Park adjacent to the town hall.
