Ex-soldier's body dug up

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – The body of a former soldier seized by communist rebels from his home in Tanay, Rizal in May last year, was dug up in Sta. Maria, Laguna last Thursday, the military said.

Col. Aurelio Baladad, commander of the Army’s 20nd Infantry Brigade, said a rebel returnee helped them locate the remains of Cpl. Ferdinand Valencia in Barangay Cueva, Sta. Maria town.
