MANILA, Philippines - A former member of the Presidential Security Group of the late President Corazon Aquino has been named commander of the Armed Forces Northern Luzon Command (Nolcom) based in Tarlac City.

Maj. Gen. Jessie Dellosa will assume as the 30th commander of Nolcom, replacing Lt. Gen. Gaudencio Pangilinan Jr. who will retire from the service on July 25.

Dellosa will formally assume as Nolcom chief in a turnover ceremony to be held today at Camp Servillano Aquino in Tarlac City. The turnover will be attended by Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin and Armed Forces of the Philippines chief Gen. Eduardo Oban Jr.

“Dellosa is one of the best assets of the military with respect to his fulfillment of service and career,” Oban said in a statement.

Dellosa is a graduate of Philippine Military Academy Class 1979 and a classmate of Pangilinan and Oban.
