NLEX launches 4th 'Tara na sa Norte'
Manila, Philippines - The Manila North Tollways Corp. (MNTC), builder-concessionaire of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), is inviting local travelers to take part in its newest tourism project dubbed “Tara na sa Norte (Let’s Go North).”
The “Tara na sa Norte” travel fair is a follow-up to the MNTC’s successful “Rediscovering the North” which sought to rekindle Filipinos’ fondness for North Luzon’s favorite tourism destinations.
“Tara na sa Norte” is being carried out in cooperation with the North Philippines Visitors Bureau and Robinsons Malls through photo exhibits and other promo items on July 8-10.
More than 50 tourism-oriented entities consisting of hotels, resorts, travel agencies, tour organizers, airlines, and government agencies are taking part in the event.
Aside from the exhibits, there will also be cultural performances and raffle draws that offer exciting prizes. Jomar Fleras of the Philippine Wellness and Spa Association will be giving free “hilot” sessions on the sidelines of the three-day affair.
The 84-kilometer NLEX has been connected with the 93.7-km Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway to provide seamless travel between Metro Manila and Central Luzon.
The 4th “Tara na sa Norte” travel fair is supported by the Department of Tourism, Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority, Clark Development Corp., Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Team Philippines and Skal International, with sponsorships from Dizitab, Smart, McDonald’s and Victory Liner.
