2 elderly women killed in road mishap

ALAMINOS CITY, Philippines  – Two elderly women were killed while their other sexagenarian companion is confined in a hospital for multiple injuries after they were bumped by a speeding owner-type jeep along the national road in Barangay San Vicente, this city.

The police identified the casualties as Manuela Rasing, 72; and Feliza Pascua, 62. Still being treated at the Western Pangasinan District Hospital is Pelita Ranches, 60, all residents of Barangay San Vicente.

The trio were walking along the right shoulder of the road heading toward the west direction when they were accidentally bumped by a speeding owner-type jeep Thursday night.

The driver of the jeep escaped.
