3 men arrested for robbery-murder of Yulo grandson
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – Three suspects in the robbery-slay of the great grandson of the late speaker Jose Miguel Yulo Sr. were arrested in a police operation over the weekend.
Senior Superintendent Gilbert Cruz, Laguna police director, said they have formally filed robbery with homicide charges yesterday against the arrested suspects, gang leader John Sanota and his two cohorts Rolando Espinelli and Deo Dayto, before the sala of Prosecutor Ramonito Delfin.
No bail was recommended for the three suspects in the murder of Jose Miguel Yulo Quiroz in Sta. Rosa, Laguna last April 1.
Cruz said the suspects were positively identified by suspect-turned-witness identified as Santiago Abion, who acted as the group’s lookout when the group carried out the robbery in the victim’s house in Hacienda Otso in Mesaland, Barangay Don Jose, Sta. Rosa City.
The said robbery resulted in the death of Quiroz, 26.
Authorities said Sanota and Espinelli have been previously involved in robbery incidents.
