Lola, grandkid killed in blaze

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – A 54-year-old woman and her two-year-old granddaughter were charred to death when their one-story residence was engulfed by a 35-minute fire in Diffun, Quirino province before midnight Tuesday. 

Senior Superintendent Delfin Millio, Quirino police director, said the victims, Juanita Dulawan and her granddaughter Lady Dawn Sanchez, were sound asleep when the fire broke out at around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.
