KORONADAL CITY – Police are eyeing land dispute as among the possible motives behind the killing of a tribal chieftain and his nine months’ pregnant wife in Tampakan, South Cotabato Tuesday night.
A relative said Tonio Binuhay, 40, chieftain of Tampakan’s S’banken tribal community, had “enemies” as he was reportedly involved in land-related conflicts.
Binuhay and his wife Rosana, 24, were shot with M-16 rifles in front of their house.
