MANILA, Philippines - The Rizal police filed yesterday before the Antipolo City Prosecutor’s office murder charges against the owner of a motorcycle that was allegedly used by a hired gun in the killing of a district officer of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)-Rizal in Antipolo City last Thursday.
Rizal police director, Senior Superintendent Manuel Prieto identified the accused as Andy Cariño, owner of the Kawasaki motorcycle allegedly used by his uncle, Armando Cariño, in perpetrating the shooting and killing of BIR-Rizal district no. 45 officer Marcelino Yap.
Yap’s jurisdiction includes BIR’s Smart area covering San Mateo, Marikina, Antipolo and Teresa, all in Rizal province.
Prieto said Andy Cariño was the registered owner of the Kawasaki motorcycle. He said a massive manhunt is being done against Armando Cariño and his unidentified companion.
