Female barangay kagawad killed in Pangasinan

SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan , Philippines  – A female barangay kagawad of this city who was on her way home after attending a meeting in the barangay hall was gunned down by unidentified armed men riding in tandem on a motorcycle in Barangay Quintong this city Sunday night.

The victim was identified as Candida Posadas, 51, who rode on a motorcycle as backrider around 6:30 p.m. when two armed men wearing helmets followed them and shot her twice in the head.

She was brought to Bernal Hospital here but was declared dead on arrival by her attending physician.

The police recovered two empty shells of .45 caliber at the crime scene. The motive of the killing is still unknown.
