10 NPAs hurt in Isabela clash

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya – Ten New People’s Army (NPA) rebels were wounded in an encounter in a remote Isabela village where government forces also overran a communist encampment last week, belated Army reports said.
Col. Loreto Magundayao, chief of the civil-military operations battalion of the Army’s Isabela-based 5th Infantry Division, said a civilian asset confirmed that 10 rebels suffered serious injuries during the encounter in Sitio Ampa, Barangay Santo Domingo in Jones town last Jan. 7.
