3 inmates bolt Pangasinan jail

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan , Philippines   – Three inmates bolted the provincial jail before dawn yesterday by destroying the iron grill of their cell near this capital town’s auditorium where the fiesta celebration was being held.

Retired police Superintendent Rolando Diaz, the provincial jail warden, identified the escapees as Cristituto Alfeche, a cattle rustling suspect; Emmanuel Enriquez, who is charged with rape; and Isagani Lomibao, who faces a case of frustrated homicide with robbery.

Police said the three probably used a guitar string to destroy their cell’s iron grill.
