Apayao cop chief sacked

ILAGAN, Isabela, Philippines – The police chief of Kabugao town in Apayao province has been relieved from his post for failing to curb criminality in his jurisdiction.
Senior Superintendent Nestor Bergonia, Apayao police director, said he recommended the relief of Chief Inspector Edward Howes as well as the entire police force of Kabugao town.
Howes and his men will undergo retraining at the PNP training center in Buguias, Benguet. A task force will take over the Kabugao police.
