ITOGON, Benguet, Philippines – Four people miraculously escaped death after their car plunged into an 80-meter ravine here yesterday morning.
Rafael Valencia, chief of the 911-Rescue on Call private rescue group which responded to the accident, said the Toyota Vios with license plate NON 898 fell off a cliff in Sitio Bubon, Barangay Virac, Itogon town while its occupants were on their way home from a pool party.
The four were identified as Maureen Nakay, 18, who was driving the car; Archie Canoto, 25; Jonathan Bosanto, 23; April Evangelista, 27. They were rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.
