Pangasinan creates historical body

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan , Philippines   – The provincial board passed on Friday an ordinance creating the Pangasinan Historical and Cultural Commission that will undertake research and verify historical and cultural records of the province and its municipalities.

The ordinance, jointly authored by board members Mojamito Libuano Jr., Alfonso Bince Jr. and Ranjit Shahani, cited the need to unify and integrate services and resources of both the government and the private sector pertaining to historical efforts and cultural plans and programs.
