Seaman gunned down in Pangasinan

SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan, Philippines  – A seaman was gunned down Friday evening in Sitio Bacag, Barangay Turac this city by two men riding in tandem on a motorcycle. 

The fatality identified as Emilio Soriano, 35, married and resident of Barangay Navatat, Basista town, was shot dead several times by the unidentified suspects. 

The victim was on his way home driving a Yamaha motorcycle about 20 meters away from Basista-San Carlos City boundary. 

The weapon used was believed to be super .38 pistol as evidenced by two spent shells recovered at the crime scene. 

Love triangle is believed to be the motive behind the killing, according to initial police investigation.
