Kris set to visit 'Florence'

DAVAO CITY, Philippines  – Presidential sister and TV talk-show host Kris Aquino was set to visit last night the volunteer nurse who is recuperating from injuries she suffered during a gang rape in Maguindanao, at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) here.

The victim, nicknamed “Florence” by the media, earlier expressed her desire to see Aquino and even Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, two of her favorite personalities, when asked by physicians attending to her at the SPMC.

SPMC director Leopoldo Vega confirmed that coordination has been made for the security requirements for Aquino’s visit to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz extended P100,000 in livelihood assistance to the victim during a visit last Thursday night.
