Agusan cops' 'killer' arrested

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines  – Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of two Agusan del Sur policemen in Bayugan City in August last year.

Chief Superintendent Reynaldo Rafal, Caraga police director, presented the suspect, Mario Nuñez Mantua, 32, to the media last Thursday, saying the latter belongs to the notorious “Dagaang gang” involved in robberies and gun-for-hire activities.

Mantua was tagged in the killing of Mobile Group members PO1s Michael Amba Anub and Peter Milan Cutamura, who were undergoing field training with the Bayugan City police when they were slain.
