2 soldiers hurt in roadside blast

MANILA, Philippines - Two soldiers were wounded in a roadside bombing staged by communist rebels in Uson, Masbate Wednesday night, the military said.

Army’s 9th Infantry Division spokesman Maj. Harold Cabunoc said the bomb exploded as a military truck carrying around 20 soldiers was passing by in Barangay Rosario.

He said the soldiers led by 2Lt. Bahnarin Camsa were tasked to secure an election hot spot in Cauayan town.
