- Charlie Lagasca -

ILAGAN, Isabela, Philippines  – Authorities recovered several items believed to belong to a slain wealthy Filipino-Chinese couple during a raid over the weekend in the compound of one of the suspects in said killing.

The joint operatives from the provincial police office conducted the almost day-long search Saturday at the compound of the family of Jaylord Dimal, 28, the alleged brains behind last month’s kidnap-slay of Lucio Pua, 38; and wife Rosemarie, 39; and their business agent, Gemma Eugenio, 44.

The items recovered inside the compound of the Dimals at Barangay Ipil, Echague town here include a BDO passbook, two Immigration-issued alien certificate of registration documents, a piece of gold earring, a shoulder bag and scraps of clothes believed to be owned by the couple.

Also recovered by the court-sanctioned raiding operatives were seven empty shells of .22 caliber pistol. The search, reports said, was witnessed by the suspect’s family themselves and lawyers of the contending parties as well as some barangay officials and media personalities.

The search team, also composed of scene of the crime operatives, was armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Bonifacio Ong of the Echague Regional Trial Court.

Authorities said the items recovered could be vital evidences in the criminal cases filed against the suspects in the kidnapping and gruesome killing of the Pua couple and their Filipina agent.
