DAVAO CITY, Philippines – An owner of a telephone company in Mati, the capital town of Davao Oriental, was found dead with 33 stab wounds in her residence yesterday.
According to reports, Connie Go, owner of Mati Telephone Company, was found lifeless at around 10 a.m. yesterday and that a security guard was said to have heard noise coming from her bedroom five hours earlier.
Mati Mayor Michelle Rabat readily assured the Go family and the townsfolk that the police and her administration were looking into the killing.
Rabat vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice as she directed the municipal police to identify and charge them as soon as possible.
“This is a shock not only to me who knew Connie Go personally, but to all Matinos. I have already directed the police to make sure that the suspects are arrested and brought to court,” she said.
