Cainta to hold flood summit

MANILA, Philippines - Exactly a year after typhoon “Ondoy” devasta-ted Cainta town in Rizal, Mayor Ramon Ilagan would spearhead a flood summit tomorrow to improve public safety and reduce flood damage during calamities.

Ilagan said at least 300 government officials, including Rizal Gov. Casimiro Ynares III, will attend the flood summit, which has the theme of “Ilog Ko, Buhay Ko,” on the same day Ondoy struck the country last year.

The summit will be held at the Sitio Elena Valley Golf in Barangay San Juan from 1 to 6 p.m. tomorrow.
