MARAWI CITY, Philippines – Police are now hot on the trail of at least five men who snatched a trader here while he was on his way to the public market last Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent Cosanie Derogongan, Lanao del Sur police director, said the victim, Abdulcarim Magarang, was seized from a pedicab he was riding on his way to the Padian market and was forced into an unlicensed, white Honda Civic in Barangay Lilod-Madaya.
Authorities were still investigating the kidnapping, with no information yet if Magarang’s captors have already relayed any ransom demand.
