Angono police nab suspects in death of mechanic, lover
MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested three of the four suspects who killed a mechanic and allegedly raped his lover after robbing them in Angono, Rizal Sunday night.
Now languishing at the Angono municipal jail are Wilson de la Cruz, 19; Reynaldo Soriano, 18; and his cousin, Jeffrey Soriano, 19; all residents of Antipolo City.
A fourth suspect, Elieserio Valle Jr., alias Jun-Jun, the alleged gang leader, is now being hunted.
Superintendent Ruel Vacaro, Angono police chief said the victims, Danilo Feliciano Jr., 32, a mechanic, and Paula Angelene Llorin, 22, went to the Hillside Summit Subdivision in Botong Francisco in Barangay San Isidro to spend time together.
They were exchanging pleasantries at about 11 p.m. Sunday when the four suspects, armed with bladed weapons, sneaked from behind and declared a hold-up.
The suspects allegedly ordered the victims to get off their clothes, tore them into pieces and used their torn clothes to gag their mouths and tied their arms and legs.
Vacaro said the suspects divested the victims of a Sony Ericsson cellphone amounting to P5,000, Nokia cellphone worth P2,000, P140 cash, wallet and pieces of jewelry.
After collecting their loot, Valle, inserted his fingers on the private parts of Llorin, police said.
At this juncture, Feliciano tried to come to the aid of his lover but the three other suspects took turns in stabbing him in different parts of the body.
Vacaro said the suspects fled after a mobile car driven by PO1 Leo Palana, detailed at the legal office of the Calabarzon police, arrived at the scene for police visibility operation.
After Llorin reported to him about the incident, Palana ran after the suspects, arrested De la Cruz and turned him over to Vacaro.
Vacaro led a police team and arrested the Soriano cousins in Antipolo City some three hours later.
The suspects claimed that they were in the area also to “while away their time.”
They admitted their crime, but not the rape of Llorin.
The Angono police is readying murder and rape charges against the suspects, who are presently detained at the municipal jail.
