Batangas, Philippines – A 19-year-old nephew of Climate Change Commission vice chairman Heherson Alvarez drowned while swimming in a beach resort in Nasugbu town Saturday afternoon, police said.
The victim, Reigel Alvarez, a resident of Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City, was swept away by strong waves while swimming with his friends and relatives in the beach resort at Talibeach Subdivision. His body was found some 10 meters away from the coastline, police said.
