ASSE Asian chapter formed
MANILA, Philippines – Safety professionals in the Asian region will gather to begin a spirited campaign to change adverse culture and people’s behavior to make the region a safer place in which to live and work.
The inaugural technical symposium, with the theme “Safety Culture and Behavior: A Global Challenge,” will be highlighted by the formal launch of the American Society Safety Engineers-Asian Chapter (ASSE-AC) and the induction of its newly installed charter officers and members who will form the core of the advocacy in the country and in the region.
The symposium will be held on Aug. 24 at the Occupational Safety and Health Center on Agham Road in Quezon City. Speakers and guests will come from the United States, various countries in Asia and the Philippines.
Jitu Patel, ASSE founder in the Middle East and ASSE high ranking official from the US, will lead the launch and induction of new members.
