Basilan blast suspect nabbed
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Joint police operatives arrested a suspected Abu Sayyaf member who was tagged in the bombing of Isabela City, Basilan last April 13 that left 14 people dead and 18 others wounded, authorities said.
Senior Superintendent Antonio Mendoza, Basilan police director, said the suspect, Ajid Jalil, alias Ajid Jainul, was nabbed after he was served with his warrant of arrest upon his discharge from the Camp Navarro General Hospital at the Western Mindanao Command compound.
Mendoza said Jalil was tagged as belonging to the Abu Sayyaf unit of Puruji Indama which bombed Isabela City last April 13. He was wounded and captured during the bombing.
