Landbank president gets award

MANILA, Philippines - Landbank president and chief executive officer Gilda Pico was recently awarded the “Communication Excellence in Organizations” or CEO Excel Award for 2010 by the International Association of Business Communicators.

The recognition is given annually to chief executive officers, presidents or top-level executives of organizations for their effective use of communication strategies and tools to achieve business, environment or social goals.

Pico is the first woman president of Landbank, and the first Landbanker in a career position to be appointed as head of the institution.

Since 2005 when she assumed presidency of Landbank, she has consistently implemented programs that catered to the needs of various stakeholders of the bank.
