2 men killed in Batangas drug deal

-

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna , Philippines  – Two men were killed and another was seriously wounded when two armed men fired at them in an alleged illegal drug deal in Barangay Trapiche, Tanauan City, Batangas, authorities said yesterday.

Killed on the spot were Ronnie Suruela, 27; and Rico Marasigan, 27; who both sustained multiple gunshot wounds on their bodies. The wounded Limuel Latesa, 27, was rushed to CP Reyes hospital.

Police Superintendent Jerry Protacio, Calabarzon police command spokesman, said one of the suspects identified as Florencio Llamado was arrested by responding policemen while hiding inside his house in Barangay Trapiche.

Protacio said a certain Teddy Fajardo with his unidentified cohort fled after the shooting at around 3 p.m.

The police are now hot on trail against the suspects who remain at large.

He said Fajardo and his buddy arrived at the Llamado’s residence for an alleged drug transaction, however, the group had a heated argument, resulting in a shootout.       – Ed Amoroso
