Capiz murder suspect falls

MANILA, Philippines - A murder suspect, tagged as the No. 15 most wanted person in Capiz, was arrested yesterday by elements of the Calabarzon police in Bagac, Bataan.

The suspect, Ruben Lumawed, 47, did not resist arrest when he was cornered in Sitio Sili, Barangay Atilano, Bagac town by a police team headed by Senior Superintendent Ireneo Dordas, Calabarzon police intelligence chief.

Dordas said Lumawed is facing murder and frustrated murder charges before Judge Daniel Gerardo Amular of the Mambusao, Capiz Regional Trial Court Branch 20.

Amular recommended no bail for Lumawed. – Non Alquitran
